  • “Bad Mood”

I don’t like to brag but it’s nice to post user comments on the website.  I used to do it years ago on the UBCD4Win site but never kept up with it very well.  On occasion I get a really nice email and it makes me think.  Since I’ve been in an “evil” funk for the past year I finally had an idea that may help me a little?  I thought about putting some other user comments here such as the one where a user called UBCD4Win “dog shit” software, but that is not the point of this page.  Sure we get an occasional person that doesn’t understand or expects too much and I don’t mind posting that stuff.  Like I said before though, that is not the point of this page.  So when I’m having a bad day or someone is being very rude in the forum, my development team and I can come here and reflect on the good work we really do!

    Thank you,
UBCD4Win has been a lifesaver time and time again, and makes it look like I know what I’m doing.

    Keep up the good work.

I download quite a lot of free-ware and shareware to test them out.
Sometimes with my experimenting i sort-of stuff things up :-) Whenever that happens I use UBCD4Win to get things back on track. It is excellent for getting into the registry and fixing it. Same applies to programs which don’t uninstall properly. The program is without a doubt the best tool I have for recovering a crashed computer. As with any program I test out and find to be excellent, I am only too happy to assist with a donation.
Thanks for a first class program.

ps. just for the record I was born in 1941. So even us “old blokes” can enjoy playing with modern technology :-)

My comments might sound hyperbolic but to me they’re true: UBCD4Win is one of the single most incredibly wicked-sweet programs I have ever seen in my 20+ years of computing. I simply did not realize what it did until I booted it, and when UBCD4Win’s ‘pre-install’ version of XP came up and I saw it had absolutely nothing to do with my own installation, my jaw dropped.
Technically, I didn’t need UBCD4Win. I use Ad-Aware and ZoneAlarm and Firefox and a router and, most importantly, I pay attention and watch what I click when I’m on the internet. I’ve had one virus or worm or trojan or whatever it was: I repaired it with ComboFix (which is part of UBCD4Win). A friend with a pc problem called up, told me about UBCD4Win (which for some reason he couldn’t get to build and burn properly), and asked me if I’d try a build and burn. The initial build had one warning, which I tracked down; the second build, and subsequent ISO burn (through Roxio) to DVD, worked perfectly. And when UBCD4Win booted, I said to myself: Benjamin Burrows deserves a donation for the excellent work he and his partners have done. I wish it could have been more than $10 but I don’t work as many hours as I used to and I have to watch where the dollars go: in the case of UBCD4Win, it’s money well spent and I hope it keeps you going.
There is one free program I use and have high regard for that isn’t included in UBCD4Win: Revo Uninstaller. I realize it works ‘inside’ a Windows installation, rather than ‘outside’ as UBCD4Win does; but it does a wonderful job of tracking down the debris left behind by a Windows uninstall, the particular program’s uninstall, and even by Unclean (PC World or PC Magazine, also free but also ‘inside’ Windows).
I am not in UBCD4Win forums and I don’t need recognition for donating. You deserve the recognition, Ben, for your excellent work. Thank you.

No public recognition necessary. You and your wonderful project have helped me immensely over the last several years to fix quite a few sick machines. You do an incredible job with this ongoing project and I think no matter how many people thank you and how much they thank you you’ll never totally grasp just how much your work & dedication has meant to so many people. You have left your mark on the computer world. Thank you again!
